Al-Nakba

Pas encore de résumé en français · résumé original en anglais

The ethnic cleansing that occurred during the creation of the State of Israel is known to Palestinians as Nakba, which means "catastrophe." Unlike accounts that start strictly in 1948, the series traces the roots of the crisis back to 1799 (with Napoleon Bonaparte's campaign in Ottoman-controlled Palestine), moving through the 19th-century colonial interest, the British Mandate, and into the modern era.
